PMJAY Urban:
In urban areas, those who can avail of the government-sponsored scheme consist mainly of the following occupational categories:
- Washerman/chowkidars
- Ragpickers
- Mechanics, electricians, repair workers
- Domestic help
- Sanitation workers, gardeners, sweepers
- Home-based artisans or handicraft workers, tailors
- Cobblers, hawkers and other services provided on streets or pavements
- Plumbers, masons, construction workers, porters, welders, painters and security guards
- Transport workers like drivers, conductors, helpers, cart or rickshaw pullers
- Assistants, peons in small establishments, delivery boys, shopkeepers and waiters
People not entitled to the health cover under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana are those who own a two, three, or four-wheeler, a motorised fishing boat, or mechanised farming equipment, have Kisan cards with a credit limit of Rs. 50000, are employed by the government, work in government-managed non-agricultural enterprises, earn a monthly income above Rs. 10000, own refrigerators and landlines, have decent, solidly built houses, or own more than two hectares of agricultural land.

After you complete the registration for Ayushman Bharat, you can download the card. Follow the steps below for the Ayushman Bharat card download:
- Visit the Ayushman Bharat official website “pmjay.gov.in”.
- Click “Menu” on the homepage
- Select “Beneficiary Identification System (BIS)” under the Portals section
- Click “Download Ayushman Card”.
- Select the option “Aadhaar.”
- Enter the details of the “Scheme, State, Aadhaar Number,” tick the declaration and click on “Generate OTP.”
- Enter OTP and click “Verify”.
- Upon verification, click the “Ayushman Card Download” option to download it.
Alternate Ways to Download Ayushman Bharat Card
There is an alternative way to download an Ayushman card. You can follow the steps below after the registration process:
- Go to the official website “pmjay.gov.in”.
- Click “Menu” on the left side of the homepage.
- Click “Open Beneficiary Identification System (BIS 2.0)” in the Portals section.
- You will be directed to the website “setu.pmjay.gov.in”.
- Scroll down and click “Download Your Ayushman Card”.
- Enter your mobile number and sign in.
- You can view your Ayushman Bharat Card. Click on “Download Card” to download it.
