In your clothing, the long sleeves clothes would be a big yes whereas cut-sleeves and deep neck would be thumbs down. The more your skin would show, the more you would be prone to harmful sunburns. Coming to the fabrics such as Nylon and Polyester blocks more sunlight than silk and cotton wears.
2. Wear a Broad Hat :-

How about a completely natural way to sun-defence? An ingredient that would never leave a white cast on your skin ? yes, it is none other than our childhood favourite -Coconut Oil. If you plan to move outdoors for a very limited time you can rub a handful of coconut oil on your body. It is tested that about 35% of sun -rays are blocked by that coconut oil which makes it easier for you if you decide to step out for a shorter duration.
4. Coconut oil has amazing skin-healing properties and therefore you can use it over your sunburns as well.
It is not surprising for you that being in sun helps your body to manufacture vitamin D in it.However, you need to limit your time for being out in the sun. Too much of sunlight coming directly on your skin is a cause of many fatal diseases including skin cancer.
One of the best ways to sun defence is consuming more Vitamin D. Food items such as cod liver oil can helps your body to defend harmful sun rays naturally. If you want your body to defence sun-rays on its own, you might as well start having cod liver oil on a regular basis.
5. Keep Applying Sun-screen on your skin :-
We take a long shower in the summer, come out of our bathroom, lather some moisturizer and some sun-screen on our face and body and move out immediately. That's incorrect if sun-defense is taken into consideration.
For a sunscreen to work, you need to wait at least 15 minutes after the application and before stepping out into the sun. Moreover, just one application of your sunscreen with good SPF only is effective for about 2-3 hours after which, you will have to reapply it.
Tip: Purchase a mini-sized pack of your preferred sunscreen and put it in your handbag to make it easier for you to keep reapplying the product.
6. Choose your SPF correctly :-
SPF 50 filters out about 99% of sun rays while SPF 30 filters Out 97% of the sun rays. Whereas, a sunscreen lotion with SPF 15 only makes your skin to recover from any sunburn and does not protect it from sun rays.
At the same time, make sure that you are buying a sunscreen with UVA and UVB ( to prevent the conditions of Skin Cancer ).
